I was chatting to Chris from The Phoblographer the other day about the direction my blog should take. He gave me great advice on what to do about it so part of the changes and improvements you’ve seen in my blog are thanks to his advice.
Halfway through the conversation, he asked: “who are your 3 heroes in your life and why?”
I had no hesitation: My grandfather for being the fatherly figure I had as a kid, for teaching me to think for myself and follow my instinct. Gabriel, a guitar teacher and luthier who taught me the values of a responsible, hardworking adult during my teenage and early adulthood. And my wife for showing me kindness, generosity, peace and unconditional love.
Chris was surprised by my quick answer and glad to hear I have those sorted, it covers my nearly 35 years of existence.
But… that’s not it! being a massive foodie I have to say that one of my food heroes are Cat and Angela (Cange) from the V.I.B Food Tours
I met Cat and Angela during a review and immediately was fascinated by the burning passion they have for the independent food scene in Brighton. If you haven’t been to one of their tours, I won’t spoil it for you but you MUST attend one, seriously! You’ll feel more connected to the city if you’re local, you’ll learn a thing or two about Brighton and you’ll be getting a treat from the best producers and independent food businesses in town.
As a bonus, we are planning a walking wine tour of Brighton to launch in September 2017. Stay tuned!
Who are your heroes? Let me know in the comments.
